Appearance-

The card appears as if its night time, a man is lying stabbed in his back in a lonely place, means he wouldn't be looked after here. Night time can also be taken as dark times in ones life where one feels no way out of the darkness, this man was betrayed, back stabbed and lies dead and defeated. There is light seen in the distance which says that darkness wouldbe replaced by light soon. So there is still hope.

Meaning-

The ten of swords is the worst cards that can turn up in your reading, swords are usually the difficult times in your life. Here too the man is seen lying face down with 10 swords stabbed in his back, his half body is covered with a red cloth. The feeling of grief, pain, defeat, failure, betrayal to the worst comes with this card. You are going through a dark time in your life, where things seem beyond your control, your life too is out of your control. And there are things that are yours but still taken away from you. You couldnt even say no for it. The darkest time in anybody's life is shown by this card.

This card also shows that the negativity that comes with this card has been dispelled and you were easily saved from the wrath of this card.

Reversed this card also shows that there was a situation like this which might hurt you but it would never happen. Your alertness is helping you not to get into such ruts.
