Starting with the Suit of Swords-
The Swords suit is a mixed suit, it doesn't mean all positive when upright position. Rather they turn out more when life is not going good, but their appearance of cards suggests action and decisions that will help make your life get good. The Swords are a suit of Mind, mind is always wavering; your mind will be chaotic and disordered if you don't have any direction to take it into. When a soul isn't aware of its purpose then its mind is always wavering and chaotic. Once you know your purpose your mind gets direction where it has to focus. And then your energies can all be directed in that direction.
Swords deal with the mind, intellect, decisions, sharpness of persona, etc. Swords is a suit that will give you mixed meanings for upright and reversed cards. They are not always positive when upright and not negative when reversed.
Swords turn up at difficult when a "cutting edge" solution needs to be made to improve your life. Swords are blue colored showing the cold colors of winters. The Swords is also a suit of mind and intellect. The mind has the power of taking decisions and thinking. The basic nutrient tool to help us shape our lives. Either good or in a bad way. Swords person is thinking his way to make life better. Whereas a Wands person is passionately acting his way to make life better, the Cups person is feeling or emoting his way to improve their life and a pentacle person materializes it out. This is how the entire cycle of manifestation gets complete.
