Part 1 of Fools Journey-
The Fools journey is actually every individuals journey. In this fool's journey, tarot shows how every individual is driven through certain learning phases in life and becomes a complete & developed soul at the end of the journey. We are born with infinite potential but zero in experience. And as we keep learning through Life's difficulties we grow up and become experienced, our soul grow's up. Everybody needs to know this in life as we are actually brought up with this belief that life is always meant to be good and easy.... But its not that way, life has difficulties that help the soul to evolve. But as we don't know this we try to consider that life should always be easy and smooth. Truth's about life when learnt quickly help us to suffer less.
Also when we don't know that life has learning's then we try not to change in a certain phase and then get stuck in that phase; getting stuck in a certain phase not changing with changes and this brings suffering. We say "Life brings suffering..." but there is learning in every stage of our life and if we are aware that we have to keep learning then we try to learn and move on quickly from these situations. After all nobody wants to keep suffering for indefinite period. And if we know exactly what we have to learn then we cut out all the suffering part and make life easy for us.
This exercise can be done regularly for self-reflection and understanding and adapting to different phases of life. I usually read this fool's journey when I feel I'm surrounded by problems... and what's surprising is that when I finish reading I don't find any problems with my life. :)
Place the fool card in centre and rest of the cards around in circular pattern according to their numbers. There are 21 cards other then the fool, with the fool numbered zero showing the beginning of a journey of soul when everybody has to start from a zero. The fools journey is divided into three phases, childhood level, learnings as an adult, and learning on spiritual level.
Magician- The soul is born into the material world with 5 elements. The four elements lie at his table and the fifth being his spirit itself. This soul has all the creative powers of the universe to make a success(magic) into this world.
Same way a child is born into this world with the infinite powers of the creator. He comes in with a mission to help the world with his unique powers, and in return also evolve experiencing the ups and downs while fulfilling his purpose.
The High Priestess- The high priestess shows us the hidden part of our persona, the hidden powers of the divine feminine energies that are still waiting to be tapped. The priestess sits as a guard to the spiritual world and the physical world guiding secrets to cross it.
The Empress- Empress is the motherly love that a child experiences during his childhood phase. The mother loves abundantly and so this card too shows abundance in the mother nature that surrounds the child along with his actual mother.
The Emperor- This card shows the love of the Father that a child experiences during his childhood. The tenderness of a mother along with the authoritativeness lessons with the father.
The Hierophant- The hierophant is the teacher and education in our world including the one from schools, guru's and our self-learning abilities.
This card comes in childhood phase but actually it will go on throughout our life as learning never ceases.
The Lovers- A child jumps into adolescence phase after having full blown childhood. This phase will make him more sexually aware towards himself and towards his physical needs.
The Chariot- The development of a male or female is complete is when the child is ready to face this world. He is ready to take control of himself(mind, body & spirit) and his life in his own hands.
