The Death card as the name suggests shows literal Death in its imagery. The Death is the man on his horse we can also call him the death giver man that is described in many scriptures across the world. He has a flag in his hands and wears armour. The armour suggests that he invincible and inconquerable. His horses reign also has the signs of skulls and bones imprinted on it showing its sign of entry.
There are people shown asking for life below him, they are in royal clothing with crown shows that they are some kings or from the kingdom. But Death is equal to everybody. There is none more important or less important to Death. After dying everybody goes to the same world which is why the signification.
The two pillars that were at the back of the high priestess, hierophant and justice card now show a sunrise from the other side which signifies that when death takes away something from this world something new is already on its way to enter this world.
There is a boat shown that is said to take souls away from this world to other side from this world.
