Six of Swords

Appearance-

The six of Swords appears with a woman and a child sitting on a boat and a man probably looking like a Hermit rowing it. There are six swords planted on the boat, looking as if they are there for safeguarding the woman and her child.

Meaning-

The Six of Swords means travelling, you will be travelling in distant lands. This will probably be a travel with your family and not alone. The shift would be safe as there are swords kept with the woman and kid in the boat.

The waters in the distance look still and there are trees and lands on the other side, which means that the times after the shift will be pleasant and fruitful. The man with the oar rowing the boat is the one driving the direction of lives of the people which signifies that you should trust in the doings of the higher self. Let your higher self select for you the right path when you are not clear what way to go. The woman here is the wise one but she too is shown with here head lowered as if she doesn't have any hope or direction for future.

Thw Swords planted in front of the people shows that they both are protected from the uncertanities coming upto them. They don't need to fear for it. The same way when in life you don't know the direction then trust the higher spirit as you will be protected by the invisible forces of the sharp sword.

The swords being taken all the way overseas also show that you need to carry your defenses everywhere you go. Also this card shows that you just need to carry your defenses and 'show them' you wont need to use them.

This card also warns to practice safety measures while travelling, it maybe your daily travelling to and fro from work.

Reversed-

The reverse of this card shows that there maybe delay in your travels or journey. Or there maybe a delay in your journey that was decided to start right on.

You are ought to move out from the place you are at present, the place is not for you which you already know but you dont want to leave. You may not be wanting the change to adapt the new shift in your life. Life always needs to change when one phase is completed and another phase needs to begin, the physical world may need to have this shift or even the shift of thoughts. Thinking with a broader perspective will help you to change your current thinking. You may not be done with the current situation that you need to leave and move on. Or there may be something still needed to learn from this situation and so its not leaving you.
