Four of Swords

Appearance-

The appearance of the four of swords is shown with a man lying with his Armour and swords all around him; three are hanging and one lying besides him. There is just yellowish color around him whereas there is color shown near his window.

Meaning-

The four of swords means that you are overtly concerned about your situation. Your situation might be just an ordinary one or one that doesn't need much attention, still you are giving all your energy and time to it considering it something big. Your worry is making the situation big.

You are too much insecure about your safety, your mind is getting over active. The man is seen wearing an armour which already shows that he is secure; yet he has swords placed by his side to help him if time needs, and with all this security too he is shown praying. He is praying with insecurity and feels that despite of all this safety measures he has still he would need more security from the Higher self.

The color in the room is mild two toned like, which reflects the cold feeling when one is insecure. There is just a stained glass in the room which shows that the outer world is colorful; only you have made your world colorless by building too much saftey measures and fears. Your fears aren't allowing you to see and feel the colors and happiness that lies already around you. Fears and negative feelings cloud our senses bringing only gloomy scenes to our ming whereas we can think positive from that moment.

This card also points out to the fact that if you are too much insecure then you should directly connect to your higher self rather then taking any other help. Praying is always better option and helps bring peace to the mind.

In a relationship reading this may show too much of protection towards oneself or the possessiveness towards the partner. Your relationship might be missing out the beautiful colors in life just because of this.

Reversed-

The reversed of the four of swords show that a time where you had to keep self security is gone or changed. You might have developed some patterns for keeping yourself secure which are no longer needed. Life needs us to grasp and release certain patterns as it comes.

This card may also point out to the dangers of not protecting oneself. There maybe dangers on you which might be in any area depending in what spread this card turns up; and you might not have sensed it. You need to keep safety measures.

The card also means carelessness towards ones life, there may be lot of matters which might be needing deep and serious thinking, which might be needing a bit of 'worry' but your attitude would be too neglectful of it.

This card says that resting time is over and you need to get-up and get going for your work. It may also mean that you feel that you need rest and security, but this may just be your doubt, you wont be needing any rest or security. You may already be safe.
