Five of Cups

Appearance-

This card shows a man wearing a full black cloak, standing on a river bank and sobbing in his cloak. There are three cups fallen in front of him and two stand straight at his back. There is shown some liquid strewn around the fallen cups. The man seems to have not noticed the other two cups standing at his back. There is a brige seen in distance along with a building.

Meaning-

This card shows that you are crying over your people who have left you and gone away. They might be ones who have made a mess in your life before going. You feel your world ending there and dont see any way out. Feel drained and lacking love in your life. As if those people were the only ones who loved you and cared about you. But you are missing something here, when you will turn around you will still find people/ friends who are still with you at this moment too. They are your strong supporters and real friends or family people who are with you at this tough time.
Dont cry over spilled milk. Stop whining at your troubles, stop whining about people who left you. You still have caring people around you who care for you; if you dont take notice of them or care for them right now chances are that they too might leave away.
There is shown a bridge in the background which symbolizes that this is a time where you too have to act like this bridge. Let go and let flow to whatever wants to leave. You still have to stand firm to your grounds.
You might not be letting people leave, relationships are not always long-term. There are short term relations too; when the purpose of any relation is completed the bond starts to fade. You need to understand this and let go people who want to leave your company.
After all love is not holding to people you like its setting them free. Binding people doesnt make them love us more. Doing this we block their life's flow as well as ours. To keep life flowing with harmony and peace we need to adapt to the changes that are happening naturally.

Reversed-

This card when reversed might show that you are too insensitive or hard hearted; you are not at all bothered about people going out or leaving your life.
You might not be wanting certain relationships and so would like to walk away from them. You need to think this really sensibly, this decision should not be naive one neither it should be taken in a hurry. If you are certain that you dont want to stay into a relationship then you should be firm in it and walk-away. There maybe people who would sulk or try to stop you back but you need to keep going with what you have decided.
This card also shows that a condition of not letting go, crying and resentment has been surpassed. You have learnt the lesson you needed to learn from that experience and have moved on. Life has changed for you after you decided to let go off something that needed to go. You have decided to take new ways. To see your life's condition with a different perspective, to recognize and care for the people or things that still are with you and stand supporting you.
You have started making new friends and going out to new places, you are no more depressed and gloomy. This is the right way you have selected.
