How can Tarot Reading help? Beyond just Predictions?

Tarot Reading has been used since ages for a couple of reasons. Predictions is only one of them. Perhaps labelling Tarot reading for just Predictions would be limiting scope of these cards. Whereas using tarot for other purposes and divination is huge.

Tarot reading can help with getting answers to pressing questions, it can help with getting directions for taking net steps in life’s areas like career, property, relationships, health etc. It also helps us to find life purpose which is a very crucial part to know for each humans, it helps us to check our chakras too, helps in knowing how your astrological chart is going, it also helps in decision making, it leads us to better solutions, decisions and choices. Tarot helps breaks down disbeliefs, thoughts that block your way from getting what you like, build a personality that you ought to have inorder to succeed on your life’s actual path. Etc…. These are just a few uses of the Tarot…. Phew!!!! Long list right?

Now writing about all this might put few questions in your mind what is life purpose and what is your life’s actual path.

Life purpose is the path the soul chooses to work upon to fulfill while living on this planet. And actual path is the path that you actually walk on in your life. You might have plans, and when you walk on them sometimes you get results that you expected while sometimes you get different results then what you expect. This path that unfolds out of expectation is called the actual path.

Well but we don’t need to worry whichever path unfolds, its always the path that we actually need to walk on. And so we call it the actual path. 

Coming back to the topic about the variety of ways tarot can help us with. You already saw different ways with which Tarot can help. There are also people who do spells with tarot… Like spells to bring abundance, tarot spells for success, tarot spells for romance etc.

Do you still want tarot just for predictions?

Well… Nah… I dont think that after knowing all these different juicy ways of using tarot. You would just turn up to tarot only for predictions. Predictions are BORING. They just tie you up. They dont allow you to think anything further then what has being prophesied for you.

Tarot can predict is a truth, but you can always ask a question from Tarot if the prediction isn’t what you expected. You can always ask tarot what to do inorder to turn it around and make the future more favourable for you.

Tarot can Help in Goal Setting 

Tarot can help in a variety of ways, and goal setting is one of them. Goals are very important for everyone to have in their life.

A person with a goal makes his life much more worthy then others.. Goals are something that makes us believe in ourselves. And having trust in our abilities is the first step towards success.

Tarot reading is a wonderful tool that can help in goal setting too.

For this you need to first figure out what your goal is…..

So if you have your deck then get it, if not go fetch it…. This newsletter isn’t running away.

You can prepare for a special day when you would do this, like it can be your holiday or when you would be getting a few hours time. Practically this exercise isn’t that lengthy. The time limit I show is just so that you can ample time to sink in the discovery you make about your goals. As well as giving yourself enough time to explore your inner depths and heights to figure out what is it that you would love to do while you are alive on this planet!

So Lets begin – 

• Set aside a time when you will be alone – Set aside sometime when you will be alone and there wouldn’t be anyone around you who can disturb you. Perhaps try to make the best use of your loneliness while family members are away for office or school or other chores. You can make this session even more special by adding aroma scents and having a bath prior to this session.
• Have your deck with you – When you are done with all the incensing and smudging of scents and aroma oils all over the place to make it special, prepare yourself for all the necessary items that you would need. Tarot Cards, Notepad, colored pens, etc.

 

• close your eyes and sit silently for a few minutes before beginning the process. Then first take your notepad and write the answers to this question….

— If you dont have limitation of time, money and space what it is that you would love to do for this world?

Its quite simple question. Keep in mind that you have to think the highest possible thing that you can think of, it should be something that you would love to do/ love to contribute, and doing this even for 24 X 7 wont exhaust you.

Now write down whatever comes to your mind. Dont think you’re crazy, just jot down. You will be guided to write down your goals perfectly.

• Now with all that energy and goaly vibes, pick up your deck and shuffle it. Till you feel like cutting your deck and then pick up three cards that would signify your goals. Try to figure out the best out of those cards. If needed use only Major Arcana. Be very much silent and focused if you want this reading to be accurate and dependable for lifetime.

A peek into my Tarot Deck collection – 

I know a lot of beginners as well as professional Tarot readers have this itch about getting related to more Tarot Decks. I am one of them 😛

So here, I have shared a few Tarot Decks that I love the most. Well and I am going further a step to give you my reviews about each deck just in case you would love to buy the deck for yourself.

First of all you would like to know what theme are they based on… They are Rider Waite based decks. As I use Rider Waite decks. Rider waite themed decks have 78 cards in them.

Well these look super yumm I know… Let me show you each with few cards and a bit of their description.

Original Rider Waite Tarot  – 

This is the simple and most widely used Tarot deck by tarot readers all over the world. Its artwork is designed by Pamela Colman Smith with concept of Arthur Edward Waite.

This deck is tough and durable with each card having a reasonable thickness.

Personally I dont resonate much with this deck. But a couple of tarot reader friends of mine have this and are totally in love with it. Its just a personal choice.

Gilded Tarot by Ciro Marchetti 

This is a digital artwork deck. I love this deck they are normal sized. And have a lovely back design. Published by Llewellyn Publishing house, I do find these cards a bit lean and delicate. Cards might feel a bit thin to professionals.

But the designs are awesome and they just leave an impression on your mind.

You can laminate the deck if you are sure of buying this deck.

Legacy of the Divine Tarot – 

This is another art piece by Ciro Marchetti, the same artist who created the Gilded Tarot deck. This is his second deck and I guess he has just bettered himself with this creation. Its simple awesome and artwork does stand out.

Published by Llewellyn Publishers, I again find the cards too lean. But got that resolved by laminating them.

Radiant Rider Waite – 

The recolored version of the Rider Waite deck, this deck is an already laminated deck with the cards being brightly painted. The images are the same as the original rider waite deck but here they are given a better colouration makning the deck more appealing.

I love this deck, dont know why. But have used it for more then 3 years. Got good results with it. US Games is its publisher.

Lo Scarabeo Tarot – 

This deck is also a very good artwork deck. Its more like a painted deck. And the images are enhanced a bit to make them stand out then the rider waite deck. These cards define each card very well. Published by Lo Scarabeo.

Good quality thick card stock makes them durable and fit for use for longer duration.

Universal Waite Tarot Deck – 

The mildly recolored version of the rider waite deck. This cards are the same as the rider waite cards. They are just lightly colored. It looks like pencil colors used to color the deck.

A good option along with Radiant Rider waite deck, for the ones who cant cope up with the original rider waite deck.

Scared India Tarot – 

Sacred India Tarot is my Love, I have loved it since the first time I saw it. Yeah Love at first site. Its by Rohit Arya, yogi impressions publisher.

This deck specifies in its theme, its rider waite based but it has 4 extra cards. And these cards are not just an addition, they are embellishments to the deck. As they compliment very well with the theme. Ganesha card to begin with as Ganesha is who every Indian worships first and thereafter other deities are worshipped. And the final card is the Babaji card where the soul has become a master from a fool! Simply Amazing.

Again the cards are lean but lamination solves the issue.

Shadowscapes Tarot – 

And finally the epic of them all, the star of my collection. The Shadowscapes Tarot, by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law. This is a superly-duperly amazing deck. I just love it. And am doing my readings with it currently. This and the Sacred India Tarot.

This is an artsy deck. And is a very creative representation with fairies, elves etc on it. This too is a lewellyn deck which obviously makes it lean and delicate. I hope Lewellyn publications improve their quality of cards as otherwise they have some very good collection of decks.

I would like to tell you that Llewellyn publishers are one good publishers but they have this thin quality card stock which makes the deck very delicate to handle. Will show signs of wearing within just 8-10 days.

Try laminating them. And they will be good to go for years.
